FKF Cup Exit: Muranga SEAL FC loss to Mfalme FC, 5-1
Muranga SEAL FC suffered a difficult afternoon at the Eldoret Showgrounds on Saturday, 11 April 2026, falling 5-1 to Mfalme FC in the FKF Cup, thereby exiting the competition.
Mfalme FC, a rising side competing in Kenya's FKF Division One and currently leading in Zone D, gave MSEAL a run for their money. From the opening whistle, Mfalme FC imposed themselves on the game and capitalised on a defensive lapse to take the lead. By the midway point of the first half, Mfalme FC had doubled their advantage, exposing gaps in transition.
The game slipped further away in the second half. Mfalme’s third goal, coming just after the hour mark, effectively killed any hopes of a comeback, as their attacking unit continued to slice through MSeal’s defense; a fourth goal soon followed.
While Murang’a Seal found consolation late on, a moment of brief relief, Mfalme FC added the fifth and final goal to seal their victory, eliminating Murang'a SEAL from the FKF cup.
Muranga SEAL FC bows out of the FKF cup, but the focus now shifts back to the Sportpesa League. The team will regroup and, through reflection, vow to address key areas, returning stronger in the upcoming fixtures.
