Murang’a SEAL made home advantage count with a hard-fought 2–1 win over APS Bomet at the SportPesa Arena. Goals at key moments and smart game management sealed the points, lifting SEAL to fourth on the table and keeping the title chase very much alive as the crowd enjoyed another big afternoon at home.

Murang’a SEAL kept their title ambitions firmly on track with a hard-fought 2–1 victory over APS Bomet on 1st February 2026 at the SportPesa Arena, in a tense and competitive SportPesa League encounter.

SEAL started the match with control and patience, dominating possession and looking to break down a well-organised APS Bomet side. The pressure paid off early when skipper Joe Waithira was fouled inside the box and calmly converted from the penalty spot in the 10th minute, giving the Seals a deserved lead.

APS Bomet responded and their efforts paid off in the 27th minute, when P. Wasai finished clinically to draw the visitors level, sending the teams into the break tied at 1–1.

After halftime, MSEAL returned with renewed focus. The hosts tightened their defensive shape, pressed smarter in midfield, and moved the ball with greater urgency. The breakthrough came in the 83rd minute, when a well-worked attacking move was finished at close range to restore the SEAL’s lead and spark celebrations in the stands.
