MSEAL End the Year with a Bang: 3–1 Away Win against Mara Sugar!! 🎉🎉🎉
Murang’a Seal FC closed out the 2025 calendar year in style, defeating Mara Sugar 3–1 on 22nd December in a thrilling away contest that highlighted the team’s resilience, tactical discipline, and attacking threat.
The game burst into life in the 31st minute, when Joe Waithira calmly slotted home a low-driven finish to give MSEAL the lead. Just before halftime, Waithira added a second from the penalty spot, sending the away fans into celebration and giving the Seals a commanding advantage at the break.
Mara Sugar responded in the 45th minute through Jim Owili, keeping the home crowd hopeful and showing the fight that defines their side. But the seals' tactical approach, set by coach Osborne Monday, remained on point. A compact defensive shape, quick transitions, and smart pressing frustrated the hosts and prevented them from building sustained pressure.
In the 70th minute, Lucas Maina sealed the victory with a composed finish, restoring the seals' two-goal cushion and putting the result beyond doubt. The team’s discipline, focus, and efficiency in front of goal were key to controlling the match from start to finish.
Statistically, MSEAL converted their key chances despite not dominating possession, while Mara Sugar created opportunities but lacked the final touch to make them count.
This 3–1 win on the road gives Murang’a Seal confidence heading into 2026, proving that the squad can perform under pressure and grind out results even away from home. A perfect way to close the year, build momentum, and head into the new season with belief and determination.
