Murang’a SEAL 1-0 loss against Shabana FC bummer

Murang’a SEAL 1-0 loss against Shabana FC bummer

On a waterlogged battlefield, where every pass fought against the weight of pitch, Muranga SEAL showed grit and intent, but football can be unforgiving. A single first half strike separated effort from reward, as chances came and slipped away. Yet beneath the loss lies something unshaken: a team that refused to bow, a rhythm waiting to click, and a home return changed with redemption.

In the race towards the top of the league, Murang’a SEAL faced Shabana FC away from home in bid to score some points, albeit one, but Shabana beat the seals 1-0.

Muranga SEAL squad pushed through the tough flooded stadium seeing a collaboration between Maina ‘the choir master’, Waithira ‘the King’, and Haki, who found space in the box before hitting the side net. At an attempt for an equalizer, Macharia tried to hit a long ball, but unfortunately lacked direction, but the tough conditions really did not favor the team, retaining them at 6th place.

Ending their three-loss streak, Shabana’s Wycliffe Omondi scored in the first half to secure three points for the team pushing them to 3rd position.

Osborne Monday, Muranga SEALs Coach in a statement reflected positivity after the loss stating “As a coach, you always have to remain positive. The result didn’t reflect our performance as two key factors changed the game dynamics. The surface didn’t favor us, but we adapted well, especially in the second half. Secondly, we created good chances but didn’t utilize them effectively.

The focus now shifts forward. We are back at home and I'm expecting a positive reaction.”

Drawing from this statement, the team looks forward to a better score in the next game against AFC Leopards ‘Ingwe’ and they will be in their best form to secure three points at home.
