Tense Finish Sees MSEAL Topple Ulinzi 2–1, Take All 3 Points

Murang’a SEAL fought back for a thrilling 2–1 victory at Ulinzi Stars. After falling behind early, Joe Waithira levelled from the penalty spot before delivering the winner in the final moments, sparking wild celebrations and a dramatic finish that will be remembered in Lang’ata.

Murang’a SEAL continued their impressive run in the SportPesa League to secure a dramatic 2–1 victory over Ulinzi Stars at the Ulinzi Sports Complex, Langata, walking away with all three points after a tense, high-pressure encounter.

Ulinzi Stars started strongly and were rewarded when Paul Okoth struck first, giving the hosts an early advantage. The seals absorbed the pressure and gradually grew into the game, tightening up in midfield and moving the ball with greater intent.

The visitors were level in the 34th minute when captain Joe Waithira calmly converted from the penalty spot, restoring belief and shifting momentum. After the break, the match became evenly balanced, with Ulinzi pushing forward while the seals remained compact and dangerous on the counter.

Joe Waithira rose to the occasion once more, producing a composed finish to seal the 2-1 comeback win and leave the hosts heartbroken.

The victory marked MSEAL’s fifth win in six matches, the best run in the league at this stage, and lifted them into sixth place with 27 points, just a point off the top three. It was a dramatic ending, but one that highlighted the seal’s growing maturity, resilience, and winning mentality.
